Sound Control

Effective sound control is a critical requirement of operable partitions. As part of our commitment to lead the industry in the technology of acoustics, HUFCOR built an acoustical testing laboratory in 1969 that is in use to this day. The laboratory enables us to continually test various panel and perimeter constructions to determine their acoustical ratings. The acoustical lab is accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP), assurance that tests are conducted under strict procedures. Our state-of-the-art testing equipment may also be used to perform on-site field sound tests.

ISO Registration

HUFCOR achieved ISO 9001 registration in 1996 and is the only U.S. manufacturer of operable partitions to do so. ISO registration confirms that we have in place internal processes and systems that conform to international quality standards. Regular check-ups by the registration authority confirm we adhere to the ISO guidelines and requirements.

Commitment to Green Manufacturing, Sustainability and LEED™

HUFCOR is committed to being an industry leader in protecting the environment by reducing pollutants and minimizing our environmental impact on air, water and land. For more than 10 years we have utilized a “Green” approach to manufacturing and energy consumption and have increased the percentage of materials that we recycle, reuse, repair, restock or return for salvage. Today, HUFCOR’s commitment and progress toward Green manufacturing is greater than ever as we continue to develop standards that support various LEEDTM (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) points to assist the achievement of LEEDTM certification goals.
